Hi! I love to travel and I now have the chance to do it long-term. I recently quit my job, sold my house, and downsized everything I own to two bins that I am keeping at a friend’s place. I grew up outside of Harrisburg, Pa., but I have lived in Texas for 22 years (longer than i lived in Pa.) I have two grown children who live in Austin and San Francisco, respectively. I am looking forward to meeting new people and exploring new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the best things about traveling is meeting new people and really getting to know the place you are visiting from a local perspective. Before selling my house, I hosted AirBnB in two of my spare bedrooms for almost two years. It was really fun to get to meet people from all over the world and to make some lasting friendships. I think couchsurfing is similarly a perfect way to travel, learn, and meet new friends.

I love 70s music. My favorite movie is Almost Famous. I like reading travel books, thrillers, biographies and anything that piques my interest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and I love to eat - healthy most of the time. And I am pretty good at both :) It would be fun to prepare and enjoy a good meal with some wine. I am also a writer and enjoy photography.
