To travel, meet interesting people from different cultures, learn new languages, but mainly to live life fully

ABOUT ME

I am a student of French and German, currently on a year abroad for my degree. I have no idea what I want to do in the future, but my plan is to try lots of little things and gain experiences of different things so that I can maybe have an idea of what to conform to later in life. Learning languages is a passion of mine, not only because I love to meet and communicate with people wherever they're from, but because learning about other cultures is extremely important and interesting. My greatest fear is to be ignorant.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I have no fixed residence as I am studying abroad. However, I would be very glad to meet up if you are in my area. I am interested in places to stay, meeting new people, having them show me a place from a more local perspective. In the future when I have a fixed address, I will repay the favour. It's karma.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first c.s. experience was very positive. I was spontaneously invited to stay at a c.s's house when I was in Bern (Thank You Sandra!) after having already booked a hostel, only to find that my room mates weren't very friendly or inviting. I was travelling with my flatmate who had already arranged to c.s. there. I was very lucky.

Interests

I am a musician and like to have a go at any new instrument that I get a chance at playing (I'm a quick learner so this acts in my favour). I love film (recently aquainted with the genius of Pedro Almodóvar), reading (fiction mainly), having a drink (tea or other) with friends, meeting new people, travelling, practicing yoga (moving round makes this hard.It's hard to find one I like) and living life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking in 42°C for ages to get to the source of the Buna river in Mostar, Bosnia&Herzegovina and getting there to find one of the most beautiful natural things I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach piano,guitar and various woodwind instruments,English,about British culture an politics. I'd like to learn another language and I'm open to what that might be.I'd also like to learn how to play the harp.
