CURRENT MISSION

I Iove to rock hound in the southwest and make jewelry out of what I find. I am currently working on several pendants in Quartzsite AZ camping at LaPosa South in my little handbuilt Gypsy Vardo.
I am retired from working in mental health for 25 years. I am a creative gypsy type with a chihuahua. I smoke respectfully,write poetry, sculpt and sing the blues. You can find me haunting drum circles, poetry readings/slams activist meetings and cafes. I also like karaoke and open mics. I enjoy nature and my book The Dream Was to Soar Through Walls will give you an idea of what I am into. The you Tube Videos of Occupied By Art will give you an idea of my recent doings. I In 2013 I sold a log tree house in Maine. It was a converted warehouse and am off on an adventure to explore some places I haven't been to yet. So far I have visited Des Moines, Idaho Falls, Olympia, Washington, Forestville, Pescadero, Santa Cruz CA, Yuma AZ, Tuscon AZ and Taos, Santa Fe and Albaquerque New Mexico.
I have decided to keep my vardo in Quartzsite AZ and live mainly out of my minivan May through September.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in the day I coachsurfed in Canada and Europe. When I owned a house I took in couchsurfers and travelers as well as homeless folk looking for a place to crash. On this trip I couchsurfed with friends and relatives in Iowa, Idaho,Washington state, California, New Mexico and Arizona. I also camped on BLM land and in parking lots.

兴趣

art, poetry, music, activism ...typical bohemian faire. I like nature... beaches, lay centers, hot springs, birdsongs etc. I am teaching myself the native american flute, I used to play the silver flute now I sit in a field or on the coast and play my eastern woodlands flute that I recently traded one of my paintings for.I am a pretty good cook though I never use recipes..I am usually on the go go go. TV puts me right to sleep.I have several books to read and I needlesculpt a lot as this is my primary medium.

Synchronicity always amazes me. I remember thinking I needed a watch and there was a watch in a puddle in Harvard Square.I used it for a while then bartered it off in Negril.

On the road I have taught Needle Sculpting. Read poetry and played my eastern woodland flute. This time I hope to bring my massage table and do body work/energy work as well.
