ABOUT ME
I've got a bit of a vagabond spirit, both mentally and physically. Not looking to settle in one specific area of the world and my brain sure hasn't decided to rest either. I'm full of questions and love to talk and learn but then the next minute I'm curled up with a book and ignoring the world.
PHILOSOPHY
“Art is like a lover whom you run away from but who comes back and picks you up.” - Tracey Emin, multi-media artist
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed for the first time in Chicago in Dec '12. I've also joined a few different groups to learn more and hopefully meet-up with people in Chicago and wherever else I may travel to.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love the concept/community, very engaging and wonderfully educational.
Interests
Playing frisbee, watching a movie and having a lively spirited debate afterwards, hard cider, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, hearing the crunch of dried leaves beneath my feet while inhaling the fragrance of Fall.
News junkie, history/politics/art/books/music, playing in a fountain, green chile, laughing, soccer/futbal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the island of Kauai.
Standing at the edge of a canyon in the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, CO while the sun came up.
Looking out at the Pacific Ocean from Northern California and realising just how vast and deep the ocean is.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having lived in several different states as well as a lot of traveling around the United States I enjoy sharing what I've learned, the things I've seen, the food I've discovered and I hope for the same from others.
Upon moving to New York and New Jersey and then visiting a friend in Connecticut I discovered that what I had always called a Sub sandwich in Colorado was called a Grinder in Connecticut and a Hero
in NY and NJ. But I think my favorite discovery living on the East Coast was the ability to get bagels EVERYWHERE!
