About Me

I am a photographer/videographer and former actress from Barcelona.
I traveled around the world for about 7-8 years, until the Apocalypse got me locked in Sweden for almost 2 years.
My travels started like a four-month "go get lost" experience around Southeast Asia, but afterward I just couldn't stop! :) When I thought it couldn't get more interesting, I started hitchhiking: it's fun, it's (relatively) sustainable, and I love it! Now I have already travelled through 10 different countries exclusively hitchhiking.

I have been lucky enough to meet lots of amazing travelers, some of them with wonderful photography skills, so I started to learn photography with them in a very fun way while traveling, and also couldn't stop! The first thing I did when I came back to Spain many years ago to re-make my backpack was to buy a professional camera. You can see a bit of my work on my website. It needs a good update, but here it is:

I also sing. I sing a lot, very loud, and really bad. But no worries: I don't do it when there are people around :D

I like to learn about everything, and I also like people who are active and passionate about whatever, from mathematics to tribal dances.

I always thought I was pretty much a city addict, but that completely changed when I started traveling, and realised how I love (and need!) animals, forests and jungles, remote beaches, rivers... So nowadays I am trying to figure out how to live in touch with nature, animals, myself and others, in a sustainable way, without leaving a negative impact on hearth, learning and sharing. So if you live in an intentional community, you are at high risk of getting a couch request from me :)

I am also interested in health. I always say I am vegetarian, but giving it a second thought, I think I am mainly "heltharian". I just made up the word myself and for sure it has at least three spelling mistakes on it. It means I avoid as much as possible refined - processed (poisonous!) food, also wheat and corn, dairy products, meat, so of course cookies, chocolates, sugars, and transgenic food when possible. Of course I am flexible when traveling, or when my granny cooks with love for Christmas, and I respect all types of "eaterians". If eating donuts and chips topped up with ice cream makes you feel good and strong, do it!!! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

"Dogtooth", by Giorgos Lanthimos, has for me all the characteristics and style that contemporary creators are looking for, and the director gets it all together in a very interesting, smooth way. The movie talks in a way about family, society, freedom, language...

"The future", by Miranda July. Beautiful. Very theatrical.

"The five obstructions". A documentary where you can see Lars von Trier basically torturing another director, under the excuse of giving him new rules to film the same sequence over and over. It's fun and beautiful, and in the end you can't tell if you love von Trier, or if you really hate him.

"Her", by Spike Jonze. Not my favorite film ever, but sweet and interesting enough. Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing actor, always a pleasure to see him working.

"Synecdoche New York". The way they treat the pass of time is astonishing.

"The idiots", by Lars von Trier. Full on movie.

Books:

"Methapysics of tubes", by Amelie Nothomb is a must. I love how she describes God like a boiled egg, or a pipe, that doesn't retain anything, just let's the light pass trough, and it's infinitely satisfied on his roundness, without any need, any thought, just satisfaction. Is a short and sweet book.

"The man who fell in love with the moon", by Tom Spanbauer. A reflection about identity, among other things. Pretty harsh, but beautiful.

Music:

Everything. In my playlist you could find from Frank Sinatra to Shakira, passing by indie pop bands from Spain, Nina Simone, Camaron de la Isla, and Ane Brun or Leon Bridges.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To avoid the temptation of writing here lots of overstated and romanticised facts about my trips! XD

Honestly, the most amazing thing I may have ever done is to defeat the fear of breaking all the rules, and just go get lost and do whatever I feel without thinking twice. Life can be amazingly rewarding when you don't get ruled by fear, petty, or your ego. Think about it!! Everything seems to fall in place.

(Let's see if I can say the same things when in 30 years I ask my government for my retirement benefits and they say me: sorry, who are you?)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you photography or editing! If you already know photography, we could go together to do some street shots around while visiting yours or my town! :)
I have also worked six years as a drama teacher. So if by chance you need to prepare some scenes or whatever for a drama class or access test to a theatre school, or even improve your English or Spanish (or Catalan!) it will be my pleasure to help you with that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friensdhip, cleanliness (I know I sound like a total hippy, but at the same time I love clean and organised spaces!), food, laughs, good vibes, conversations, hiking...

If you have a business or any event you would like to have professional pictures taken of (or you just want pro pictures of your lovely new puppy, or yourself, why not) I will be happy to take them, as a gift to you ;) I am a specialist on Tinder profile pics, so don't be shy, I will be happy to go shoot you and make you look amazing!
