Hello!

I have taken one year sabbatical to come to France and explore my creative side! I am Spanish but have lived in London for the last 16 years, I work for the Council trying to reduce our carbon footprint, which is very exciting but also quite demanding!
I came to France last July and have been volunteering at different places in the South, doing all sort of things from cooking for big groups at a meditation retreat in the mountains to helping with house renovation. Now I'm trying to explore painting murals, I have done two for my hosts and loved it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in London has made me appreciate the value of knowing other cultures, it has made me more open minded. And these last few months during my travels, it has made me appreciate it even more, I have met people from all over the world, from Chile to Iceland, it has been great! Couch surfing is a great idea as it gives people like me with no income the opportunity to do more travelling, and also when I get back to London I will have the chance to open my flat to other travellers....

Interests

Painting, restoring furniture, going to see independent movies and have debates afterwards! Going to art galleries, photo exhibitions...also yoga, qi gong, relaxing with a glass of white wine :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to India, going up to the Ashram in Tiruvannamalai and see the awesome views over the biggest temple in South India....mind blowing...

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach some Spanish or English, and will offer a big sofa in my flat in London when I get back later this year
