After finishing my Phd in biology I escaped from Germany together with my best friend Sarah, who quitted her job simultaneously, for a 7 month long trip . Since end of October 2014 we are travelling through Southeast Asia for 4 month and we gonna visit Australia, New Zealand, Fiji islands and Hong Kong in the upcoming weeks.
We love to meet people who can see the better side of everything. Especially here in Asia we were often impressed how much positive energy someone might have, how friendly and helpful people can be and how someone can make us laughing in unimaginable situations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We decided to couchsurf because we are enjoying to meet local people more than tourists (:
We like to get in touch with new cultures, other ways of life and talk about all the world and his brother.

Already in Berlin I hosted students of the Goethe-Institute from all over the world for about a year. I enjoyed to live with people from others countries and to show them my favorite places in town. Since I´m used to host travellers I think it has a couple of advantages to stay with locals... (:
