About Me
ABOUT ME
Heaven is tall trees, green mountains, rough oceans, violent sunsets, and dark coffee. I came to Colombia because it is beautiful--el paisaje y la gente. I have been here in Bogota teaching English for two months, and now I'm headed out to see the country, YOUR country. Me gustaria hablar contigo. (Puedo ayudarte con tu ingles, tambien!)
PHILOSOPHY
We're always joking, laughing, and having a good time. We like nothing more than relax and have some drinks and good conversation with people who like to do the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I'm new to couchsurfing.org, I'm no stranger to couch surfing. My house has always been a place where friends (and friends of friends) are welcome. I have always had a linen chest with extra blankets and pillows for friends.
My favorite couch: A gigantic purple double-wide in the Presidio of San Francisco. Sleeping soundly after playing trivial pursuit and drinking beer with friends.
My least favorite: Also in SF. I once "slept" on a kitchen floor underneath a flimsy overcoat
Interests
Hiking, reading, movies, yoga, learning Spanish, writing, drinking with friends, and playing the guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books
Susanna: David Attenborough, Velvet Underground, and Flannery O'Connor
Eric: Cohen Brothers'/Charlie Kaufman/Stanley Kubrick/etc. films, looking for some cool new music, and books by people like Milan Kundera/Italo Calvino/etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Susanna: The most beautiful thing I have ever seen is the Na Pali coast on Kauai in Hawaii. My favorite hike is Andrew Molera Park in Big Sur, California. Semuc Champey in Guatemala was magical.
Eric: I saw the Great Pyramids at Giza and I once saved my dog's life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Susanna is an experienced English teacher and is always willing to share her knowledge with new friends.
Eric can tell you all about his experiences in places ranging from South Africa to Russia to Australia to Egypt.
If we can't teach anything new, hopefully we'll just make you laugh.
