I am 34 years old and live temporarily in Stuttgart, Germany. My binational studies and my professional stations in several European countries allowed me to discover a lot of different cultures and to make friends all over Europe. This is why one of my favourite hobbies is travelling - to meet up again with them in Germany, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, and so on.

I'm vegetarian.

I enjoy learning new languages and getting an understanding of other cultures and perspectives by this means. My travel aim therefore is always the integration in the local life instead of standing apart as a tourist because it allows for a much deeper insight into people's views, traditions etc. And one realizes that things can work out just as well in a completely different way than the familiar one.
I am looking forward to getting to know a lot of interesting people to whom I would like to pass on also some bits of my own culture.

I spend a lot of time travelling, mostly around Europe. Apart from this, I really enjoy reading (a lot!), making music (singing in an international choir, playing the transverse flute), doing sports (e.g. swimming, hiking, biking), cooking/baking and in general spending time with my friends.

I adore the works of Stefan Zweig, it's the best writing German speaking author I know.
One of my favourite films is "The white ribbon" of the Austrian producer Michael Haneke.

Travelling solo across the US after my graduation - a wonderful experience thanks i.a. to the CS community!
Cycling over 700km from Basel, Switzerland, to my then home town Düsseldorf, Germany, without prior training, just to implement a joke
Going on a multiday canoe trip in the Canadian wilderness (a near encounter with bigger animals at the camp site included)
