About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I moved in 2019 from the city centre to a small village near the mountains of Madrid, and this was really life changing! I have a garden, wonderful views, clean air, hills and mountains very close - and a lovely dog. My son and my daughter in law come to stay frequently for some days.
And here are my 3 petitions:
PLEASE respect my status: sometimes I'm only ready to meet people to show them around and have a chat, but this doesn't mean that I can host you! And PLEASE read carefully the details about my home; if you don't fit in the description don't send me a request. And in case I'm ready to accept guests, PLEASE specify why you want to know me, who you are, what you want to do in Madrid, etc. Couchsurfing is not just about accomodation for free!

ABOUT ME

I love to share good moments with my family and friends: enjoying nature or a good meal, going to the theatre or to concerts, or meeting for a drink and a chat. One of my main features is curiosity. I am open-minded, reliable, sincere, sociable and normally good-humoured. I have a grown up son and I am happy with my country life and my dog.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen to everybody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people from other places and different cultures because it's a great way to learn and to constantly develop myself. I hate narrow-mindedness and I believe we are all citizens of one world, not only of our one country and place. I had very good experiences with couchsurfers welcoming them at home, showing them my town, the mountains nearby and the way I live. I've already had some very interesting and enriching experiences when I was couchsurfing in Oslo, Victoria (CA), Bogotá and Alaska.

Interests

All kind of outdoor sports and activities: hillwalking, climbing, canyoning, caving, kayaking, horse-riding ... I love animals and nature in general. But I have also many cultural interests: theatre, watching good films, reading, concerts... . I practice Chi kung (Qigong) which helps me to achieve harmony. I love travelling and meeting people from other countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list here!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caving (speleology). I only started it a few years ago and I would never ever have thought that I would go down potholes on a rope.. and up again after an amazing adventure under the earth. It's not comparable to anything else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and can teach you, if you like. And I can speak German or Spanish with you. But there are much more things to teach, learn and share. We'll find out!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I lot of experiences to tell!

Austria, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Morocco, Norway, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
