My first Couchsurfing experience was hosting a French couple in spring of 2013 through BeWelcome.org. It was very enjoyable and we're still friends! They stayed with me for a few days, then came back after they had an uncomfortable experience in a Miami hostel. We drove down to the Florida Keys together and stayed with a friend of mine! I would love to host again, but I've moved to a house with roommates, so there isn't much room. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love making new friends, and I feel like I'm pretty good at it. A new city or town is much more enjoyable when staying with a local. I can be self-sufficient, but it's nice to have company.
