ABOUT ME

I have just "retired" from hairstyling after 16 years! I worked in an eco friendly salon loved my job but felt there was something that fulfills me more. I am taking time to travel and explore the western USA. I have been Wwoofing and camping along the way, surfing in cities. I am traveling with my scissors and would love share my skills.

I love music and could not live with out dancing, I've taken salsa lesons. it is great fun and would love to go dancing on this trip. I have been learning to play the guitar in the last few months. I've tried my hand at a little song writing. The Winnipeg Folk Festival is something I look forward to every year. It's always a lot of fun. So many beautiful talented musicians and festival goers, at times it can be a sensory overload! I try to just follow my ears.

I get out doors as much as I can. Canoe tripping has to be one of my favorite things. There's nothing better than eating a meal cooked over a fire after a challenging day of paddling and portaging. Everything tastes better outdoors. I did my first big hike-the Grand Canyon right to the bottom and back out-last fall. It was amazing!

I have done a little white water kayaking. Ultimate frizbee is the only teem 'sport' I've ever played. It's great fun, turns out I can run...... quite fast. :)

I love planting a garden, it's something I learn a little more about every year. The Wwoofing I have done lately has been harvesting and processing and it has been so much fun!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to go with the flow. Follow my heart and listen to my intuition. The universe has got some incredible things in store for me.

So far I have only surfed, I am traveling around the West coast of the USA. I plan to host once I am home in winnipeg and have a place to share.

I have couch surfed a few times in Reno, I've enjoyed meeting hosts and hope to do more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Cameno de Santiago this past spring. If you've thought of doing it do it now. :) It renewed my faith in the kindness in strangers, people blew my mind over and over. Spending the time in contemplation walking helped have courage to quit my job and take this time traveling for my self before I go back to school.
