About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Micro: As of right now I'm working towards a BFA, at Rhode Island School of Design.
Macro: Chasing balance.

ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing, outdoor enthusiast who loves art, travel, and animals.
I relish meeting new people, exchanging ideas, and broadening my perspective. I strive to be someone who is compassionate and honest, although I am tiny in this world my mind doesn't have to be.

The outdoors teach me everyday. Sometimes it's invigorating, sometimes humbling. Art grounds me. I have always used my hands, and find peace with creating. Although I take art seriously, there is a necessary balance of silliness.

Traveling is something I would prescribe for a stagnant mind or a shrinking heart. I have traveled in many different ways, and have experienced that although visiting new places is wonderful, it's often the people who make the experience great. Which is why THIS SITE is so cool! It's the human driven experience, and you can count me in!

Animals have always been in my life. I was raised on enough land to have cats, dogs, chickens, bunnies, fish, rats, turtles, and whatever else my mom would let me bring home. I have always had an affinity for animals, but being a student doesn't allow time for pets. So my beloved pets have a stable sanctuary with my patient parents.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, share experiences, knowledge, and bask in the light of humanity.

Interests

I love games, but have put the game "Trouble" also known as "Sorry" to rest, laughter does not live there, only pain.
I love languages, and although I only speak English fluently I will try my hardest to communicate through another tongue if you are patient. I am learning Spanish, and pathetically learning French, but my circle of immersion is small, thus my practice is slim.
I think star gazing is important, it reminds me how small we are. Cloud spotting is also great for the creative process, and coming from California I crave rain, storms, and weather. Not to sound ungrateful for sunny days, but I prefer amorphous shapes in my sky.

If you want to learn a bit more about me, I have an art blog which I've been meaning to post to : www.Suzannealward.com, a Facebook page, and an Instagram account.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with the whale sharks. "Boom" *drops the mic.

-because text doesn't have inflections I have to put this in here; the "boom" and dropping of said mics is a joke. It was an amazing event, but it's the boasting part I'm trying to make fun of.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, England, France, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, Switzerland
