About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To learn how to be location independent and create a more free lifestyle where I can travel whenever and wherever I wish to. I wish to meet new people and possibly make a meaningful connection.

ABOUT ME
I love meeting new people and new places. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with everything that a city can offer so I usually need some help. I prefer to take my time when sight seeing by walking or simply sitting at a cafe. But I also love night life! I love to paint and go to museums and galleries and get inspired. I like to see the different ways that people live all around the world because I'm hoping that it will give me a lot of new ideas as a (product) designer. I grew up with a father who has a free spirit and loved to travel. I definitely have the same desire.

PHILOSOPHY
I've reached a point in my life where I'm really reevaluating how I've been living. Not too sound too dramatic but I've realized that experiences, personal growth and meaning connections are the most important things to me. The hectic life in NYC has given me a lot of superficial and material success but I'm now willing to give that up in a heartbeat and drop my previous social constructs in order to attempt things with a new, broader perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet more generous, free-spirited, open-minded people who I can share some experiences with.

Interests

Learning more about myself. Learning about others. Yoga. Meditation. Spiritual development. Drawing and painting. Having interesting conversations with people that make me realize things I've never thought of before. Reading, writing and doing work at a cafe. Listening to music and dancing around by myself. Going out and dancing with good company. Eating great, healthy food. Possibly living in a tiny house one day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My time in Korea two years ago still sticks out in my mind as one of the main highlights in my life. It was my first time traveling alone and I made so many good friends that I still keep in contact with til this day. I hope to out-live this memory with my stay here in Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really love to paint and I feel like attending art school for Industrial Design has stifled my urge to paint a little bit. I used to watch Bob Ross all the time and therefore, I love to paint landscapes. I would be more than happy to share the little that I know about it. I also enjoy drawing (esp. nature). Even though I can't make a full on meal, I love to help in the kitchen and I'm fantastic at doing the dishes. I also have an intermediate knowledge of Korean if that interests you.
