About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, see, taste, and experience as much of the world as possible
ABOUT ME
Just back from an incredible year abroad in Bologna, Italy. Now I'm finishing up my last year at UC Berkeley and planning my next great adventure - employment!
I'm passionate about reading, writing, cooking, and eating... I want to taste everything, I love all things that are new. I feel like the best way to get to know people and cultures is through what they love to eat. Sometimes I write poetry about my dinner.
PHILOSOPHY
Try everything once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sadly my couch is a bit too tiny to sleep on, but whenever my school schedule allows I'd love to show off this amazing city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couch surfing experience was an incredible weekend in Torino for the Salone del Gusto. It was amazing, delicious, delightful, and immediately got me hooked...
Things only got better the second time around in Granada, and now I can't wait to plan my next adventure...
Interests
Cooking, cooking, cooking...
I also love reading, writing poetry, travel (of course), world music, tea, and people who don't take life too seriously.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't possibly pick favorite books... but at the top of my list for 2008 was definitely Micheal Pollan's "The Botany of Desire."
Music I've been loving lately has included Amadou and Mariam, M.I.A., Habib Koite, Aretha Franklin, The Mountain Goats, Paul Simon, Randy Weston, John Coltrain, Feist, and Elliot Smith
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Malaysia and Bali with my entire family... Scuba diving off of the islands and seeing creatures straight out of science fiction...
Picking up and moving to Italy.
Last minute travel with no plans in mind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I took karate for 10 years, played clarinet for 6, saxophone for 1 and now I've forgotten almost everything.
I'm learning new recipes all the time and I always want to add to my international repertoire - teach me how to make your favorite comfort food.
I love home karaoke sessions and talking about favorite books and poems... if you can play an instrument I will sing along with passion.
