ABOUT ME

We are a couple with 2 kids (born in 2015 and 2017) that loves to learn; meeting people and learning from first person experiences is the main reason why we participate in couchsurfing. We try to be open and welcoming.
We got together in 2000 and we are married since 2009. We met each other in Delft, where Steven studied "Technology, Policy and Management" and Helleke "Industrial Design Engineering".
We both have some typical engineer characteristics: we are both pretty rational and analytical, and we like to solve problems. But we try also not to forget the emotions of both other people and ourselves :D.

PHILOSOPHY

Steven: Making things difficult is quite simple, but making things simple is quite difficult.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since we joined couchsurfing in 2006, we only had very nice couchsurfing experiences. We enjoy both hosting and surfing and we hope to meet more interesting couch surfers in the near future.
Since out sons weer born (2015 and 2017) we haven't surfer anymore, but we still like to meet people and might be able to offer a couch.

We like a variety of movies, music and books, and do not have very strong preferences. But some things we like a bit more than average:
- Helleke needs some R.E.M. every now and then
- Electronic tango music (Gotan Project for example)
- animated movies like Wall-E, Shrek and Finding Nemo
