It is difficult to describe one's own character, however, I hope that my close friends would describe me as an open, kind and compassionate person as that is what I strive to be. I am also a life-long learning enthusiast, I want to know things and I am always curious. That may explain my voracious affinity for books :-)
Getting glimpse of the places and people via books gives you an irresistible desire to go and visit those places by yourself. I guess one could call me a restless person as there is always that feeling urging me to move on. There are so many beautiful places to see and so many fantastic people to meet with only one lifetime to use :-)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am not different from others on Couchsurfing when I say that I love traveling. With our planet deteriorating every year, I take care to travel sustainably, always caring all of my trash with myself and trying to preserve the places I visit in their original natural state. It is kind of heartbreaking when you see others doing it otherwise.
There is nothing more enlightening than meeting people from different countries and catching glimpse of their culture and therefore their unique thinking. I believe that that we are all the same and there are decent people and indecent people all over the world. In the end, we are citizens of this one beautiful blue planet and that is what connects us.

兴趣

Reading literature in Czech, English and French, learning new languages, hanging out with friends, exercise (currently addicted to Pole Fitness and Aerial Hoop). I am also very fond of technology, the way it helps us to connect and the power it gives us to change things. Apart from books, I consider Youtube a great source of knowledge and I follow several education channels (In a nutshell, Academy of Ideas, Science magazine and many others).

Currently, I am deep into the genre of magical realism represented by writers David Mitchel and Salman Rushdie. Also very fond of Michel´s Houellebecq´s books and I have retained a passion for fantasy literature from my childhood (so of course authors like J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K.Rowling, G.R.R. Martin and C.S.Lewis are also my thing ). This makes me kind of a dreamer I guess :-)
As for the music, I do not have one particular favorite style, but I usually avoid the mainstream stuff playing everywhere. From my current favorites, I can list Charlie Winston, The Wonder, Joy Wellboy, Digitalism and many others :-)
