Hello, everybody!
My name is Svenja and I come from Lüneburg, a small town in nothern Germany, which is also the town I was born in.
I have been working as a physiotherapist on the countryside for 1 1/2 years, which I really like. Hopefully in autumn I might be able to start studying to become a sportsteacher for handicaped children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join couchsurfing now, because I was planning a biketrip through Portugal and really want to get an idea of the country and its culture. Therefore I do want to meet portuguese people, not only people in hostels. It seems like a good opportunity to get in touch and, although I have heard a lot of positive things about couchsurfing, I haven`t tried it yet.

Interests

My hobby is sport - at the moment biking, running, swimming, freeletics and yoga. I feel best if I do sports about four times a week, which is not possible all the time. Besides that I like cooking, because I just love good food, gardening, reading, singing, sauna and sewing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have no idea what to write here... sure there must be something, but helping elderly people with their luggage, holding children from running onto the street or calling an ambulance when it is needed are normal things, I think, whereas lifting a truck wheel shows mainly physical strength and does not necessaraly show much about people*s inside. Maybe the most amazing thing was to live and work in Mozambique for half a year, although that felt so natural to me.

What I want to learn are languages, first of all Portuguese. And to stay calm.
What I can help you with is to get rid of things you do not need. I am very good at giving things away, that helps to get an overview.

If you like food, we should meet, cook together, eat, eat, eat, have a cup of whine and play cards. I love that. Or we could go out for sports (reading the text above, I sound much fitter than I am), try out climbing for instance. Aaaand yes I can do massage.... although I prefer not to - I would rather show you something to improve your health yourself.
