I lived in Australia (Work & Travel), Hungary (study), United States (study) and in the UK (work), and of course Germany. In between I did many backpacking trips including Canada, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, South East Asia and Europe. I guess I have already seen quite some places here on earth and the plan is to keep doing that!

Last year (2018) my husband Peter and I quit our jobs and started traveling long-term. We bought a campervan in Alaska and travelled with it down to Nicaragua. Our new project is Biking Hawaii. The plan ist to fly to Oahu, buy bikes and a tent and then bike around the islands and camp.

So we dont necessarily need a couch, but a safe place to pitch our tent and a hot shower would be great! (Though, we dont mind the couch either :) )

The goal is to explore the beautiful Hawaiian nature as well as the culture and locals. We think meeting people is one of the best parts of traveling and makes the best travel stories!

It's such an amazing way to meet people and discover places entirely differently than when you spend your time in hotels where people are paid to be nice to you.

As soon as we are back home from our big trip we plan to host a lot more surfers. I have hosted in the past from time to time, but often have been restricted (e.g. student house with limited space). As soon as we are back we will make sure to give back the amazing hospitality we have received during this trip!

I love watching comedy shows (How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, etc.)

Books: mainly travel-related stuff such as Blauwasserleben (Heike Dorsch), Frühstück mit Elefanten (Geza Neitzel) Eat Pray Love (Elizabeth Gilbert), Desert Flower (Warris Dirie), African Queen (Helge Timmerberg)

Music: nothing in particular - probably just pop music on the radio, old rock songs like Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, etc. and Cuban latino music?! Oh and of course the all-time favourite Backstreet Boys :)
