Well, I saw this poem on a milk carton and think it hits the nail just where it needs to be hit:

I am.
I'm mean like a strawberry in a bad joke,
gentle like a pharmaceutical suicide,
spiritual in rolling up a lotus and smoke it,
religious in hoping hell is cool place to kick it in,
witty like a finger in a roosters ass
cute as a dead fish with one eye open
and sad in thinking this is funny...
