Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing makes every city a friendly city. I'm currently traveling, so am looking for fun and interesting Delhi residents to hang out with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a host, and in 2009 I couchsurfed Denver during the DNC protest week.

Interests

Driving with the windows down, challenging social systems, hiking, canoeing (especially in the Boundary Waters), sitting on couches with good friends.

I'm a graduate student in environmental engineering, focusing on issues of clean water, clean air, and clean food in developing countries. Right now, I'm running a research project in Delhi that might evolve into a social business designed to improve the lives of street food vendors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In winter / spring 2009 I lived at Trinity House Catholic Worker in Albuquerque, NM where I cooked lots of soup and worked for a world without nuclear weapons.

In summer 2009 I visited 19 states by Greyhound bus, to shake the travel bug out of me before spending my two last long years in school.

In summer 2011 I hiked the Camino de Santiago: 500 miles from Irún on the French border, along the north coast of Spain, to Santiago de Compostela and Finisterre on the west coast. Best thing I've ever done in my life.
