ABOUT ME

where to start.... 18 years as a chiropractor, driving the mercedes, living in the big house on the river, bla bla bla...realized it was not cutting it as a life..... so bought a catamaran and lived for the past 7 years on it with my husband and two teen boys showing them the world and taking photos and helping local islanders with medical problems through chiropractic. Sailed from St Vincent to NZ with 6 years of experiences in between... look at the website www.underseaphotovideo.com.....
Now, although I do a bit of chiropractic,--(I love working on people, dogs, horses...even adjusted a fish!! ) I consider myself a glass artist...again see web site.... and currently since I have a studio in my house, I am going bigger in format.... previous the small kiln on the boat would only allow me to do earrings.
soooooooooooooo... relaxing, enjoying life... helping my kids to realize the important things in life to THEM... while I live down here in beautiful Golden Bay..... I'm filling my life with creativity and good friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life and share it with others. It's a beautiful place when those around you live from the heart. Most of all STAY positive and when those around you go to the negative plug them in to the positive. There is always a bright side to every dark one!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had several people stay this year and although I have met them through friends of friends or in airplanes I have been keen about turning them on to this site.... In essence, I'm opening up my heart to those of like mind.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

having traveled the world many times over... so this organized site is glorious to me as it makes it just that much easier to "connect"... again see the web site but recently I met a german lady on the airplane from auckland to nelson... next thing you know we were on our way from Nelson over the hill to Takaka... she stayed for a week!!

romantic comedies I am a huge fan of but living on a boat for 7 years with 3 guys kinda warped me....I love the documentaries and also out of africa types to... can't do woody allen no matter how hard I try!! and shoot em ups -- ughhh... too many of those with all those guys around me!!

hard to choose... life has been VERY full but since this one was with the kids it makes it stand out. We were in Tonga swimming and a baby whale came up to me while swimming with my boys--It frolicked with us for several minutes and then it's mother swam past close enough to raise her pectoral fin over our heads and looked each of us in the eye six inches from our masks.....WOWWWWWWWWWW

all I can say is --come from the cup being half full, not half empty..... this is the smallest thing in the world but when you attempt to do it in every moment of your life it is a wonderful challenge!!
