ABOUT ME

I spent awhile traveling, living carefree without that competitive headrush that is the American ideology. But now I'm back in the game. It's my last semester in college and I am looking forward to chillin the fuck out after graduation.
I like to drink, walk, watch/make movies, play, go out in the woods, drink coffee, cook for my roommate, play with my animals, make music, paint, draw, drive, travel, talk. I like to be in the moment. I think someone best described me as a voluptuary - I get high on being happy.
I'm currently jobless and this worries me, but everyone keeps sayin Oh don't worry Sagan you're in school - you can start freakin out later. Well, I try to abide by those wonderful words of advice - but the truth is that we are living in quite a precarious world where job security is a phantom in someone else's closet. This used to worry me - keep me up tossin and turnin at night just wonderin what the hell I was going to do with my life, how the hell I was going to become that person who my parents expected to emerge from undergraduate school. Then one day I realized that all that preoccupation is the result of that shovel nosed American ideology in which every man woman and child has failed if they are not some kind of story book success. That's a load of shit. That's what I decided. I never was interested in that cock and bull mega success. For now I'm feelin fine keeping it easy and divine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed through Europe and have hosted a couple people here. I haven't been in a permanent residence for too long, so I haven't really had the chance to host more people. But I would love to!

Music, Movies, and Books

As a film student I have an extensive list of favorites, but my top 5 are as follows: Wendy and Lucy, Drop Dead Fred, Box of Moonlight, Harold and Maude, and Grizzly Man.
I love music, I also make music (vocals) You can here me on myspace.com/hanzbronze. We just recorded a new album, so that might be coming out soon. [Collaborations are always nice too - I love making improvised music with new people!]
I like to read books about cinema [the nerd factor of my studies has really started to kick in], but enjoy everything. Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite writer of all time. I would like to read more poetry, if you have any suggestions, I am open to read anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am amazed by mostly everything that I see. My sister says that I am caught up in details, in the small patterns of the world - which is true.
But I am amazed by anything new. In Swansea (one of my first destinations in the UK) our host took us to the top of a great hill in Gower. I could see for miles and miles all around me. Welsch countryside and a three tiered bay. Conditions were perfect.
