I am a very easy going guy,

I have been working in the development sector working with civil society groups over the last year in Ireland.

I love learning about culture and history. My favorite thing is discussing and learning about where people are from, from their point of view with a beer, a coffee or tea in hand :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My Girlfriend and I have hosted Couchsurfers on her account (http://bit.ly/2BnMIEa) and I have met some lovely, warm and friendly people hosting on CS so now that my Girlfriend and I are travelling I am excited to meet more interesting and cool people on our adventures :)

Interests

My main hobby is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. (It is a martial art based around grappling (think of a mix between judo and wrestling)). It is a great way to keep fit and meet good people,and I try to find BJJ clubs in every city I visit. :)

I also like Irish Sports such as hurling and gaelic football. Soccer, rugby. I'll try any sport once! :)

I also love games of all kinds: board games, card games ,video games... You name it! I think there is no better way to spend time with friends than playing a good game and laughing and battling over it! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
The books I read are mainly based around work but earlier this year I started reading the Walking Dead Graphic Novels for fun and I have been really enjoying them.

Movies:
I love movies of all kinds, some of my favorites would be Her, In Bruges, Catch me if you can, Argo, Star Wars
ep. 4,5,6,7 , most of Tarantinos work (Especially Reservoir Dogs).

Music:
I would listen to a bit of everything, here is some of my last listened to on spotify: The Cure, Brother Ali, Billy Joel, Deca, Macklemore, LCD Soundsystem, Marachi El Bronx , Weezer, Billy Joel, Hozier and Paolo Nutini.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled across America with my two best friends in 2010. We went from New York to LA stopping many places along the way and then travelled up and down California all on the U.S Rail network. It was an amazing experience, I have some of my fondest memories from that trip.
Our route (roughly) was :New York, Chicago, Omaha, Colorado, Vagas, San Francisco, San Diego, L.A.

I am very open and friendly and love getting to know people.

Along with this I could teach you a little bit about whiskey or beer as I am a big fan of both (Maybe we could organize a tasting!).

I could also teach you a few words of the Irish Language. :)
