Born in small town, lived all over Ontario and Quebec, even lived in England for 6 months! I am a student now, WAY an over achiever, love my new lease on life! Great friends! Best friends ever! Want to meet tons more people from around the world! I want to save the world, and that is about it.

Take care of all life.
Do or do not, there is no try.
Live like you were dying....I was, and that gave me a WHOLE new perspective.
People spend far too much time fighting over really minor details.
Everything is an opportunity, you may just not see what it is yet.
You always learn something from the experiences and people in your life, no matter how minor you may think they are.

Interests

SPORTS! I love SPORTS! I love to read! Anything! I love to learn! I am a phenominal cook with pretty much any ingredients, any fare from other parts of the world ( I work in a high end French restaurant). I love volunteering. I am founder and president of the Western Card Club, president of Lifelong Learning Club, a member of UWO Breakdancing, UWO Comedy, Vagina Monologues. I am a Special Olympics Coach in soccer, I coach AAA Hockey and referee hockey, and a mentor for first year mature students.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, U2 and Elton John. Books I enjoy are non fiction, where I can learn something, and possibly become more creative. I also enjoy reading cookbooks, especially with pictures, to get new ideas for cooking. Movies that include Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Sean Connery, Will Smith, Johnny Depp, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Tommy Lee Jones, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Christopher Walken or Oliver Stone's work, are my faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coaching Special Olympics. Seeing the athletes learn even at 30 years of age with low functioning levels. I have seen a lot, but that is probably the most inspiring thing

I heard a really touching story the other day from the local news. It was about an older man in Detroit. He found $21,000 in bonds in an old discarded jacket on the street. He turned in the bonds and received a $100 reward.
Why was this guy looking in an old discarded jacket? He was homeless and looking for clothing to wear. The place he turned it in to, was the shelter where he was staying.
Some local businessmen heard the story of the Good Samaritan, and offered him $1,200 cash for clothes, and offered him a job on the spot. The gentleman was African American, and the businessmen where Caucasian.
If you know ANYTHING about Detroit, you can truly appreciate this story. They were all visibly emotional and changed over this experience. The businessmen refused to have their name or business associated with the story, so as to not have it seen as a publicity stunt. They wanted everyone to know that the world could be a better place if everyone shared this gentleman's virtue of honesty
