Finishing my 8 year journey to becoming a Veterinarian

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in NYC, changing careers a little bit. Was a music tv producer for many years, then went back to school to study my prereq for Veterinary school. As of Septemeber I will be attending the Royal Veterinary College in Camden. I'm an avid traveler. Traveling for the first time by myself for a significant period when I was 19 years old. I spent a significant amount of time in Kenya volunteering at the Nyumbani Orphange, and backpacking for 3 months thereafter in Africa. Just came back from six weeks in southeast Asia and another 2 weeks in Central America.

As I mentioned I'm moving to Camden in September from New York. I don't know anyone, so in a sense I'm starting a whole new life.I'm easy going, believe in the positive flow….

Interests

Some of the things I have recently done give you an idea of what my interests are:

Trekking the Mountain Gorillas in the Virunga Region, Visiting the Chimpanzees and Jane Goodall's research station in Gombe Stream, Climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro, Bunji Jumping off Victoria Falls, Deep Diving with the Whale Sharks and Manta Rays in Mozambique,

Zip lining through the tree's in Laos, Hiking in the jungle in Vietnam, Motorbiking through the mountains in Thailand, and interacting with the locals in Burma.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films and theatre are my passion. I can pretty much tell you what the movie is by the opening credit sequence of any film. My favorite film by far is After Hours by Martin Scorcese. Through his unique interpretation Scorcese captures the possibilities and peculiaralities both scary and embracing of New York City.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessing the democratic elections of Kenya first hand. I had the opportunity to travel with an ECK member, who was monitoring the elections throughout Nairobi. People waited in line for over 8 hours in some cases, with lines going down the street for over a mile.
