About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore and live car-free.

ABOUT ME

I am obsessed with bicycles. I talk about them, I ride them, I fix them, I try to get more people on them. They are the most amazing machine and completely powered by whoever pedals them.
But outside of bicycling I like to read and write. I am currently writing a science-fiction novel, and am using my travels as inspiration. I have a lot of interests, including learning by talking to people about their passions, so if you have an interesting tale, or quirky hobby I would love to hear about it.

PHILOSOPHY

These are probably all hokey, so try to be as hokey-free as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started, but I would love to host a place that will comfort those with extra-weary, bike-tired legs.
Also, I participate with meetings and riding my bike. At the moment I will be exploring London, so Londoners...let's kick it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 15 bike polo players in a house. I have hosted 10 conference attendees in my room. I love opening my house to visitors and would love to share that with you. I've also had the opportunity to say with some very wonderful people on my trips. Couldn't have done it without them.

Interests

Too many. Music, books, writing, bicycles, cyborgs, health of the planet, beer, transportation systems, city planning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Science-Fiction, jazz, math rock, rhythmical. Anything really in all genres except for pop. I can't do manufactured culture. Books? Books?! There is always one in my bag and three on my desk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bicycled. This sounds lame, but anytime you are on a bike you are amazing for doing it, and you get to see things in completely different ways. I'm on the verge of doing bigger, better, more amazing things. I'll keep you posted.
I'm in the process of biking to Panama.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, mostly I'm drawn to bikey people, but anyone really that has a passion and is involved with that passion creates a fun experience.
