ABOUT ME

I'm easy going and laid back; outgoing and cheerful! I have a serious travel bug and hope to spend a lot of time traveling and experiencing new cultures. I love sports and activity - I'm a natural busy body. I can never remember the name of a song, or who sings it - no matter how many times you tell me! I love animals - but I'm allergic to almost all of them. I love to read, and have just discovered the joy of audio books in the car. I will always enjoy just relaxing, having a coffee or beer with friends - or ice cream...there is always room for ice cream! I love to show people around or meet up with them for adventures, I hope to do so more in the future!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had 2 great couch surfing experiences so far, and look forward to hosting and visiting with many more! Hopefully sharing and learning as much as I can with the people I meet while traveling! Having recently moved to Texas from Canada I am hoping to get involved in the couchsurfing community in the Austin or Dallas area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

@ fabulous experiences surfing! One in Budapest and one in Vienna. Both with amazing hosts, who showed their love for their city by taking me around. We had some good times hanging out together, being silly and exploring, and I look forward to may more experiences.

I like making lists...seriously, here's one of things I like...travel, hockey, soccer, snowboarding, softball, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, reading, writing, learning, photography, music, exercise (running, spinning, pilates, weight training), languages, really random trivia facts, trying to figure out who sang which song (so bad at that game), boardgames and drinking games, and much more, can't wait to try everything!

Shantaram, Outlander books, Harry Potter, cheesy romance novels, spy novels. Comedy, romance and action movies, love the Planet Earth documentary. Music - anything I can dance or sing too, not that I can remember the names or artists...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Being in a small coastal town outside of Chinandega Nicaragua and spending time with the local kids in the classroom and on the beach playing soccer or frisbee in the sand. It didn´t matter that I didn´t speak Spanish, everyone there was absolutely wonderful and it reminds of why traveling and experiencing other cultures is so important.

I can teach ice skating and how to play hockey and soccer, or maybe how to play different card and drinking games (the rules are different everywhere you go so I want to learn these and new ones too). On a more serious note, I work with children with Autism and enjoy talking about that as well as the health care system in general. It's fun to work on languages too, and I'd love to learn how to cook different meals in the countries I visit. I would love to learn, period! Definitely want to do some Salsa dancing!
