With my head in Switzerland and with my heart in the Balkans...

ABOUT ME

I am a trustworthy, warm-hearted and uncomplicated person who loves to discover the world especially all regions that lie eastwards from my home country Switzerland (Eastern Europe, Middle East...).

As I did grow up in a scout-like organization and have always been involved in associations (many summer camps with different people, international, handicapped etc.) I am used to get along well with different people, to be kind, generous and tolerant.

I did a MA degree in political science (minors: comparative religious science and social anthropology). My special interest are in plural societies and impacts of globalization on our living together.

Besides university I was volunteering for the National Youth Council of Switzerland SAJV (youth advocacy, defending young people's rights). Nowadays I am a member and volunteer for Service Civil International (SCI) Switzerland.

Since 2012 I work for a publicly funded foundation in the field of education for a sustainable development.

In general I am an interested and engaged citizen willing to contribute to society. I've always been active in associations, mainly youth organizations (former leader of summer camps for handicapped and non-handicapped children and youth, student representative at university, youth rights lobbyist on the political level).

I love meeting new people, to exchange views and to learn from them and their experience.

People knowing me would say that I am a highly reliable and trustworthy person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am quite active in civil society (NGO/NPO environment). As volunteer, trainer and expert (resource person).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One first surf on Gabriela Gabi Nadj's couch in Stuttgart, Germany for two nights (June 2011).

HOSTING EXPERIENCE
Myself I am hosting regularly friends on my couch or volunteers from Service Civil International (SCI). Open to host other people / couchsurfers (just quickly have to check dates with my flatmate first). Check the pictures of our house (a more than 100 year old city 'villa' - it is very beautiful and centrally located).
