About Me
Hi Couchsurfers! My name is Sydney and I am a music manager for American folk-rock band, Dust City Opera. I live and work out of Albuquerque, New Mexico and love getting on the road to tour as much as possible.
I have two wonderful children (10 and 2) and I am expecting my third baby this May!
I have a beautiful, historic 100-year-old home in the north valley of Albuquerque that was once a dance hall, then a town hall, before being converted into a private residence in the 80s. We have a full home music studio, TV room, playroom for little ones, a hot tube, and 5 fireplaces throughout the house.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
2020 is a huge year for our band and we will be hitting the road on tour this March and again in the fall. We are taking a break from touring in between because I am expecting a baby boy this May!
We will be hitting a lot of new cities and would love somewhere to crash along the way. We have plenty of air mattresses, we're really just looking for hosts that can fit us all under one roof for a night.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a music manager, I have a deep appreciation for music, especially independent music. I love rock, folk, and lofi music. I live and breathe Dust City Opera but I also love The Felice Brothers, Modest Mouse, Beck, Tom Waits, David Bowie, Alt-J, and a million others...
My favorite movies are: The Professional, The Labyrinth, Coraline, Fight Club, and anything in the horror genre.
I love fiction books, especially fantasy or sci-fi. Anything by Neil Gaiman!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done... I walked away from my career in the financial sector to be in the music industry. It was the scariest, best decision I have ever made!
Other notable things include staying up for 5 days/nights straight for a medical study, zip-lining over a lake, and winning artist of the year with Modern Musician in 2019.
