Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet locals from the city I'm traveling to in order to get the real culture of the place. It also makes it much easier to travel with a little help. The best experiences I have ever had in a new town have been with the people who live there. I am eager to learn about the world and what better way than to experience it for yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every type of music & I know people say that all the time, but I really do. I'm really into tropical and deep house electronica right now. I prefer hip-hop/rap when working out or greatest hits of the 70's & 80's when I'm cleaning or hanging out in the sun :)

My favorite movies have always remained mostly in the romantic comedy & drama genres. Some of my random favorites off the top of my head (generally because they give me some sort of nostalgia) include the following...judge how you will: Forrest Gump, Grease, Mean Girls, The Help, Pretty Woman, Sweet Home Alabama, Remember the Titans, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Notebook, Love Actually, You've Got Mail, 13 Going on 30, Eat Pray Love.)

Friends will forever & always be my favorite tv show. I've seen all 236 episodes more times than I can count. (Chandler is my favorite character. I don't know what that says about me. Maybe I'll take one of those online quizzes to find out).

Books are a perfect escape from reality. I prefer popular fiction, usually whatever I can find on the best seller rack. However, lately I've been gathering books in various topics such as self-help, nutrition, and meditation in order to live a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Overall I'm pretty mainstream when it comes to the entertainment industry. But, it's also something I'm very interested in. I've always wanted to be a famous singer or actress. Still haven't quite given up that dream;) Anyway, if you're seeking a new trivia partner for the entertainment category...or if you want someone to sing you to sleep...or you need someone to cry at the drop of a hat....I'm your girl:)

I teach English to a 5 year old Italian boy.
I'm trying to learn Italian from conversations with my Italian friends.
I am in teaching mode now, so I can teach you a little English if you want or don't already know enough. I am also willing to learn anything you want to teach me....it's how I keep my mind constantly moving--learning!

I am told I tell the best stories, so I can share with you my many experiences. I also LOVE hearing stories, so please share with me :)
