About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bike 100 miles in one day!
ABOUT ME
I want to meet people, to know them, to hear their stories and share life with them. I think relationships with others are pretty much the most important thing there is. Even if my house burns down and the work I've made and the posessions I've accumulated go, the people who I love and who love me will carry me through.
PHILOSOPHY
Use things, love people, not the other way around.
"The plain fact is that the planet does not need more "successful" people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every shape and form."
David Orr
http://www.context.org/ICLIB/IC27/Orr.htm
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived." - Emerson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I mostly surf and host internationally, because the value of cultural exchange is the real "raison d'surfer" for me . . . but I have also hosted Americans who travel by bike and hope to do so again in the future.
Interests
Experiencing a city like a local, exploring spaces the owners have forgotten. Baking things without boxes, eating black raspberries off the vine, trying new wines; climbing things, cycling, maybe some mild mischief.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leonid Meteor Shower. Picture my sister and I lying in the grass in a chilly field in the middle of nowhere at four in the morning with a too-thin blanket and a bowl of frozen cookie dough. The shooting stars were a dozen a minute and more. Absolutely thrilling.
