About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, open minded person who loves meeting and learning about everyone and everything! I live and grew up in Pittsburgh, but want to travel and even relocate, anywhere. I’m also super down-to-earth so I get uncomfortable when people make a fuss over me or go out of their way. I have zero judgement and don’t need much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe in community, openness, sharing and a reality in which we recognize that we own nothing and there are no “others”.

Interests

Music, live music, writing bad poetry, protecting the sacred, reading, talking philosophy, understanding people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Maugham, shantaram, Hanson, Immortal Technique, Being John Malkovich

(Just a few off the top, I do not limit myself to genres so it’s all across the board)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Alone with no one around for miles, at the base of a waterfall in the middle of a rainforest next to the Pacific Ocean, and watching a frog jump from rock to rock, and everything is natural.

Spent 48 days at Standing Rock reservation (#NoDAPL) camping to support the Native people who are still facing ongoing genocide in the US, including militarized police protecting oil pipelines and engaging in violence and psychological torture against the Water Protectors. Ask me about it and I’ll talk for days...

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve spent the last few years educating myself on racism, decolonization, and I work in politics sometimes so I spend a lot of time talking about this stuff. But mostly I want to listen to what others have to say.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The knowledge that offering your space furthers the mission of sharing compassion, connection and gracious acts of humanity. We are low maintenance, self-sufficient people who leave every space better than we found it. I’m always happy to cook, clean, help around the house, or can usually treat my hosts for a meal, if preferred.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Mexico, Tanzania, Uzbekistan

Countries I’ve Lived In
