I grew up wanting to be an author of children's books, realized that I had no talent whatsoever, ended up doing a PhD in pattern recognition. Now working as a researcher at a university. I enjoy literature, music, and good food. But then again, who doesn't?

Music, Movies, and Books

Typical soulmate is probably a Lord of the Rings fan who avoided seeing the films (most likely even the trailer). Would get along very well with Gavin Bryars fans. I used to sing in a choir, always happy to swap choral music favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the birth of a baby. Not on youtube, but an actual one (the difference between these should resemble witnessing an actual murder and watching one in a Hollywood movie). No matter how often it occurs, I think it is a most amazing thing.
