My name is Emőke, currently a biology student, living in Cluj.
I am originally from a small town in Seklerland, a region in Romania, where a big Hungarian community lives.
it is pretty close to nature in every way, surrounded by mountains and forests. I guess, this is where my love for nature comes from. :)

I am 22 years old and i loooove being on the road, I'm out hiking, biking as much as I can. I seek adventure and I just love stepping out of my comfort zone.
Nature is where i usually escape from the daily problems, but that doesn't mean i always hide out there.
I also love being around people, and that is why i volunteer if i get the chance. Volunteering allows me to see the world a happier place, radiating the positive energy.

The place which made the biggest impact on me and became my favourite place in the whole wide world is Taizé, a small community in France, where simplicity is the key to a happy life. One of my best experiences with volunteering, with meeting people from all over and instantly having a connection with them was there and i try to live my daily life the way i experienced there.

All in all, meeting new people, becoming part of different cultures even for a short period of time is always the most exciting thing for me. So, can't wait to meet you!! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The typical 'touristy traveling' makes me go nuts, that's why i'd like to get to know the country i'm in as it is on a normal day. How everyone just goes on with their daily habits and let me get lost in the details. That would be my way of exploring!
