About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be open-minded and see things from others' perspectives.

ABOUT ME

Grow up in Taipei, the capital that locates in the northern part. 6 years study in Tainan, a lovely sunny city at southern part. I speak Mandarin, Taiwanese and English, with a little bit Japanese and Korean. I was once a girl scout for 8 years, which I acquired lots of practical experiences to survive. I've ever played the piano (though not anymore now) and the oboe, which helps me learn how to appreciate great music. I was a little dancer while in the elementary school, and I still enjoy dancing now but could hardly perform any high level ones, not to mention to stand on my toe. Have done lots of things in the past 25 years, though non of it becomes my expertise, I gradually realize I am who I am right now due to those memorable experiences and I just can't be more thankful.

Right now I'm doing my exchange in the Netherlands. It's the first time to step on continent of Europe, a place thousand miles away from my country and is relatively more mysterious for me since I seldom see or meet European people in Taiwan. Again, I'm thankful for getting the chance to meet new fiends and explore more about the world. So far I wouldn't say everything is good because that sounds pretty much like a lie, but I did run into more good things than the bad ones and great to have those bad ones that turn the good ones even much better! That's the epic of living.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep going as long as you are alive, cause that's the only thing you could do.
Reflect things happen in daily life, there's always thing that makes us appreciate to what we have.
Being honest and responsible to yourself and it's not a matter of ages, it's more about the maturity of the mind.

Interests

I love to listen to the music, but it's hard to tell the specific kind. I would say any kind of music as long as they don't make me drowsy, neither do they get me a headache.

Having a nice coffee or afternoon tea with my friends and do some chatting, feeling caring and being cared. Sharing what we did before, what we would want to do in the future and what could we do to make our country, environment and people better.

Traveling is also essential since it relaxes me as well as enriches me. For me it'n not necessary to take a train or airplane to a really far place to make it a trip. Wandering around without too much thoughts in mind is also a good way and it can happen to any place.

I don't really watch TV but I love Japanese drama pretty much since it usually doesn't last too long, and they really got great actors. Occasionally I would follow up hilarious TV series to get some laughs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical music, pop music, jazz music (though I'm not quite familiar with, it's pretty relaxing)...anything relaxing

Titanic, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Shawshank Redemption, shutter island, Inception, Thor, Iron man, Fast and Furious series (though I always forgot what happened in last one while watching the newest one)...

Detective fictions would be my favorite type, but I also like books that are inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Great and generous people I ran into in my life, which makes me believe the world is still beautiful even though many terrible things are happening.

Biking around Taiwan with breath-taking views of Mother Nature.

Enjoy the natural starry curtain on the Liuqiu island of Taiwan, being in awe of how vast the universe is

Teach, Learn, Share

Enjoy exchanging languages, cultures and perspectives. I could teach you how to speak Mandarin, how to write traditional Chinese (due to the limit of time, maybe your name?!), or maybe you want to learn some Taiwanese. Some easy cuisine might be available as long as I could get the ingredients needed.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, Taiwan, United States
