About Me

I know this is a long text, it's just everything that you might want to know before coming over.

If you are ALLERGIC to DOGS: you will be fine! We have two small hypoallergenic dogs, tested in practice.

When talking about them, I have to warn EVERYONE: they will bother you, jump on you while you sleep, lick your face etc. It's up to you how to handle it, do it however you like, just don't kill them. ;)

I am living with my Russian ex (on the picture) Nastya. She is a friendly person who likes meeting new people, but she also needs plenty of peace, especially when she is working, so just avoid imposing on her please. :) Nastya is a certified pastry chef, which means you might get a cookie with your morning coffee. :)

At this moment, I can host several people in the living room, where I also sleep. You can use the bathroom and kitchen. It'd be best if you came with your own sleeping bags and towels, to reduce laundry. It's okay if you don't, I will have you covered - but please, remember to put all that straight into the washing machine when you're leaving. Less work for me. :)

Let's be upfront though about some things. I am not giving you much guarantees above what is explicitly written. I live a life and prioritize it, I am just offering you to share my space, AS IS.

I try to get up and sleep early. It changes, but my sleep time is probably 11pm-7am at most. I try to create evening atmosphere in advance too, to calm down after the day and sleep better. It's okay if I need to wake up to let you in, I am just saying what you can expect from me. It's usually quiet in the morning, but no guarantee here either.

Now about FOOD. Feel free to use the usual stuff - coffee, tea, sugar, milk without asking if you feel like. And ask about syrniki, we usually have some you can have, like for breakfast. You might get a piece of cake too, if you're lucky.

Now since eating together makes sense, I am all for it, in a participatory way, if you are okay with eating my diet - it's generally a very healthy diet. If you want to cook something unique, I will be very happy to try it, but I have a couple of restrictions. You might want to read about them also to get a hang of the diet I am on.

I don't eat meat - except fish. I like pepper, and.. won't eat anything spicier than that. I avoid simple carbs and sugar. I don't drink alcohol. And while we're at it - it's best to ask anyone you cook for for their allergies. ;)

My diet attempts to minimize carbs and calories, maximize protein and provide all vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, you get the idea. If you want to participate, I might send you my diet scheduled for the duration of your stay (if I have one), for you to pick and choose which meals you want to join. This will allow planning groceries in advance. Tell me your allergies too, if you have any.

I spend much time at home, which may change, it depends on my current work situation. I am easy to distract, so please do your best to avoid doing that if I am working on the computer. And I will probably love to talk to you, so don't tempt me - if I am working, don't get into long conversations with me. Please. ;)

Chances of socializing are slim for the time being, too much to do, too many problems, and not too much love to go round. I will probably happily talk with you in the morning and evening though.

If you want to use PUBLIC TRANSPORT, highly recommend downloading jakdojade.pl app - to find connections and buy tickets. You can also buy tickets easily with one touch of credit card at certain stops and in most vehicles, but cash is only accepted by old ticket machines.

Sometimes you bring gifts. That's very nice and thoughtful, but if it's sweets... just want to remind that we are trying to diet here, so less is more. ;) Don't tempt us, we already know we are weak. :)

About this question, that I sometimes hear: "Can I help You with something maybe?" - consider yourself warned, if you ask that question I will find you something to clean. So if you don't want to be cleaning on your vacations, just don't bring the subject up and you're safe. ;)

Okay, I guess this is it for now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I travel, I care most about human connection. I also like to be efficient. Couchsurfing allows traveling cheaper, immediately get in contact with locals and possibly find out most interesting places and activities with the help of the host.

I want to take and give, so I'd like to be a welcoming and helpful host for couchsurfers from around the world too. Meeting people from all over the world in my home town is second best after meeting them in theirs. :)

Recently I got very much into meditation, altered states of consciousness, chakras, this kind of things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Varying sleeping arrangements, but usually we're somewhere between mattress and couch. Preferably your own sleeping bag (less laundry), but we can provide all you need too.

You can use the bathroom.

You can participate in shared meals if that works for you.
