I am a friendly relaxed guy, who likes to hang out with people. Moreover, I am very interested in culture and spend a lot of time listening to music, playing music, and reading books.

Go with the flow. Life never takes the path you're expecting, so trying to direct life will be like fighting the sea - you can try hard, but the sea is gonna win.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've mainly surfed, but since I moved to Doha, I'm intending to host as well. I would love to experience more of this city, with others who, like me, are also new to the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have mainly experienced CouchSurfing from a surfer's point of view. I've surfed in Czech Republic, Austria and Serbia and almost exclusively had good experiences. It is a very rewarding experience when a stranger opens the door to her home and let you become part of her life, although only for a short while. It is a unique opportunity for getting an insight into other cultures and other ways of living.

Interests

I enjoy going to concerts and listening to music. I am especially found of klezmer- and balkan music, however, I also like listening to jazz. I am myself an amateur musician playing the oboe, in both classical and jazz connections.
Apart from that I like reading books, cooking good food and taking long walks in the nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading Danish authors, whom are probably unknown to the rest of the world. Of international literature I've enjoyed books like "Cathedral of the Sea" by Ildefonso Falcones, "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt, "Snow" by Orhan Pamuk and "House of the Spirits" by Isabel Allende. In music I enjoy listening to klezmer and balkan music like The Klezmatics, Boban Markovich Orchestra and Fanfare Ciocarlia. I also like jazz music like Duke Ellington, Celia Cruz, Sara Vaughan, Dexter Gordon, and Dizzy Gillispie.
