Overview
About Me
Iam just a typical dutch guy, tall, blond, as funny as any and devilishly handsome, obviously. Jokes aside, I am a chef and Manager at a beach restaurant on the Dutch Coast. Which means that every summer I work overtime so that in the winters I can travel the world. And thats what I've been doing for the past 7 years and I still enjoy every moment of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because when I travel I want to fully experience all the good things a country has to offer and learn as much of a countries culture and people as possible. And I feel like couchsurfing is a great way of doing that.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is crazy big as I like to listen to genres ranging from Folk, Indie, Country, Bluegrass and Americana to Pop, Hiphop and Trap and a dash of classical piano pieces and everything in between.
Movies I like are to numerous but some of my favorites include Into the Wild, The Pursuit of Happyness, Life of Pi, Amelie, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and any movie by Wes Anderson.
Book wise I have the peculair flavour of old classics and ancient philosophers by the names of Hemmingway, Seneca, Thoreau, Homerus, Orwell and Plato. Jack London is King.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I've done is diving with Manta Rays in Komodo National park, Indonesia. Just kneeling down in the sand and spending the entire dive just looking up as these 5 meter gentle gaints hovered over was trully breathtaking experience and one I'll never forget.
Countries I’ve Visited
