About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take one day at a time and have no regrets along the way.

ABOUT ME

All about me? Hmmm...

How about the basics? I am 26 and a dude, and live in Washington DC within walking distance to everything the city has to offer!

I recently had a quarter life crisis and on a whim bought an airline ticket to Europe with no plans except for my arriving and departure dates and airports. For the entire month I traveled Europe where I couchsurfed with some amazing people, who became great friends. My very first couchsurfing experience happened in Paris, France where I met two amazing sisters who not only where the kindest and most generous people I have ever met, but showed me Paris through the eyes of a local and never once treated me like a stranger. In the fall of 2011 they even came and stayed with me for a few weeks and traveled the east coast of the US together. Since then, I have bragged about the couchsurfing experience and what an amazing oppurtunity it provides. It is so much more than just a chance to save money (and it never should be viewed in that way).

Anyway, as for the main topic of this section, about me - I like random shannigans, unplanned adventures, and have been desribed by my friends as acting like a seven year old child who has eaten too much candy at times. I also tell very bad and childish jokes, but, I make up for it with my cooking. :) I am a firefighter in the city, and try to take my health pretty serious. I usually am up early in the morning for a run or to go to the gym. However, I do love grilled cheese sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and Goldfish crackers. (To show you have read my profile, make goldfish crackers the subject of your message haha)

I enjoy meeting new people, and sharing experiences and stories. No topic is really off limits, and you can freely ask any questions you want to know, and I can promise you I will do my best to answer.

PHILOSOPHY

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Anyway in which I can help somebody. I guarantee you a good time, or your money back, haha.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met the loves of my life in Paris while I couchsurfed with them. They have since stayed with me in DC and I plan on going back to visit in the Fall of 2012. We have become very close friends and I miss them very much :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Way to many to list...

Because of my graduate studies I find myself doing very little pleasure reading outside of homework and studying.

I am a big fan of country music, which is odd, because I grew up far away from the country.

I've never seen/read a single Harry Potter book or The Lord of the Rings... I think I may be one of the few that can say that. However, I fell into the trap of The Hunger Games.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you plenty over a beer, imagine what I could teach you over two!
