Hi! My name is Tabea, I am 19 years old and from Germany. I grew up in Freiburg and went to school there, which I finished in July 2021. In September 2022, I am going to start University in Leipzig, Germany.
Until then, I want to travel and see the world, and I will travel to the USA in May. I will visit the major metropolises San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, Philadelphia and New York.
Here's some information about me personally: I am a very open and enthusiastic person. I love to listen when others tell stories, but also like to share my experiences with them.
At the same time, I am a person who needs to be left alone from time to time and of course I respect this in my counterpart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am traveling alone, I would be very happy to meet locals on site. Staying with someone who lives in one of these cities, I believe to be great to make connections and get to know the culture even better.
Of course I would find it very interesting if the person I live with would like to show me their city - but of course this is not a must.
So if you can imagine hosting me for a few days, I would be incredibly happy. I'm excited to get to know you!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite bands are The Beatles and Pentatonix (if you haven't listened to them yet, I can only recommend it! :)). I love watching movies (and getting veeery emotional most of the time ;)) - I think my favorite movie is "Holding the man". Right now, I read a lot of books by Colleen Hoover, but the book series I love the most is the Lux-Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
What I also love to read about is psychology and philosophy - sometimes, with all the things that are happening in the world right now, I lose faith in humanity and in the fact that, deep down, we all want to live peacefully - and I need a reminder in the form of books, films, music or other types of art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've already travelled to the US once with my father when I was 10. Although I don't remember everything of that trip, I still know how fascinated I was by the country - since this trip, I want to visit the US again :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to get to know you and your interests - maybe you can show me the parts of your city that you appreciate the most.
I also think it would be so cool to have someone to share the experiences I make with. Visiting a country and having to process so many impression on my own I think can get very exhausting. So it would be cool to have someone maybe join me.
But of course, I am totally okay if I "only" stay at your place without any joint activities! In general, I will of course respect and appreciate the fact that you let me live at your place and do my best to be a good housemate :)
