About Me
Hey,
my name is Tabea, I am 23 years old and from Germany. After I finished school in Summer 2017, I followed my dream and flew to Canada. While staying in this fascinating country for about a year, I saw stunning places like waterfalls, endless woods and so much more.
As I returned to my home town in Germany (close to Frankfurt), I started my training to become a vet nurse. I worked in the biggest animal clinic in Europe, finished my training there and worked for one more year. I absolutely love this job as it combines my love for animals while working in a medical field.
Even tough, I loved working in the clinic, I knew that it was time to leave again to discover new places.
That is the reason, I quit my job, packed all my things and left for my next adventure in March 2022. I am both terrified of the new upcoming challenges but also thrilled to have the opportunity to travel again and make new experiences.
What should you know about me?
I am an open-minded person who loves to travel different countries and learn about their cultures. Against my expectations, the list of where I want to travel is getting longer every day :D
Due to growing up with animals, I love being around them and really like to work in nature. I am keen on learning new things and different ways of living.
I am vegan for several years now and read a lot about environmental and social sustainability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From the first moment on, I thought that couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet people around the world, make friends and really get to know the culture, as living with locals.
As I am also travelling on a budget, I would be more than happy, helping other travelers and invite you to stay at my home (as soon as I am back ;) ).
I just stayed at a few host so far, but that experience was already incredible. Being able to get to know different ways of living really changed my view on so many things.
Interests
As a very outdoorsy person, I like practically anything as long as it is in nature where I feel most grounded - so hiking or just simply being outdoors and enjoying the view are my most favorite things to do. So I would be excited to see your city's best sunrise or sunsets spots :)
I also enjoy photography, as it combines my love for nature and wildlife.
If I feel active and to clear my mind, I am going swimming, but also enjoy quiet time, reading a book.
And is there a better way than sitting by the fireplace, having a hot chocolate and reading a book on a stormy, rainy day in fall?
