Overview
About Me
I left Germany and my work as a German teacher in March 2025.
Now I'm travelling, mainly in France, because I'm fascinated by the country, its landscapes and its culture, especially Balfolk dancing and occitan singing.
I'm looking for a place to live on the countryside and to work as a German as a foreign language teacher, in German-French youth exchanges, in hostels or something similar.
I am an open-minded, friendly and reliable person. I like performing and listening to music, dancing (mainly balfolk!), nature, learning languages, cooking - and of course travelling (city trips, hiking, bike tours).
I lived in several countries and I love being abroad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great opportunity for people from all over the world to get into contact to eachother and to get to know cultures, cities and landscapes (by living at a nice accomodation with likeable people) in a totally different and amazing way. For me it is the best for it's the most uncomplicated, communicative and personal form of travelling.
And: I definitely love to welcome people in my home!
Interests
I like music a lot. I play the violin, the viola and I sing in the choir. I love learning foreign languages and, of course, to get to know foreign cultures by travelling!
I love cooking and to try the cuisine of different countries. (So if you as a host bring me any cooking stuff, spices, tea from your country, I will always be glad!)
I spent a year doing a voluntary service in Hungary. It was an amazing time, in which I got to know a really interesting culture and great people. I love the Hungarian language :) I studied at the German-Polish border and worked in Poznań for two years. That´s why I also know some Polish.
I travelled to many, many countries, above all in Europe, mostly hiking and biking - I just love nature.
Music, Movies, and Books
Mainly German and French movies (even if I still can´t speak French properly, but I like it), historical, drama, comedy and so on.
I enjoy listening to German, English, French, Scandinavian etc. singer-songwriter music and chanson, world music, folk but also to soundtracks and classical music. About eight years ago I discovered balfolk dancing, and of course I like all the music connected to it, so mainly French folk bands.
And yes, I also like reading, in different languages, mainly novels that tell stories about or are related to true historical moments and figures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My enthusiasm about other cultures and languages. Experiences that I made travelling, mainly hiking in Europe. Some good food. Optimism, positiveness and lots of smiles. German language lessons ;)
Countries I’ve Lived In
