About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Redeeming what I couldn't do 12 years ago. Namely, reaching India by bike from Greece.

ABOUT ME

I dropped out of high school at the age of 16, because I didn't want to let them EDUCATE me in the way they did. It was the first ever step I took to set myself truely free.
Since then I've been working and travelling.

I decided to escape from my home country when I was at the tender age of 15 but finally left Japan for the first time when I was already 19(and it was also my first solo travel and first airplane)with only a backpack and almost no knowledge of English. My 2nd step to set myself free.
I spent the most of my 20s and early 30's travelling or living abroad , I've been to 60+ countries and seen countless beautiful and ugly things since.

I had my first job when I was 15, started to live by myself when I was 17(all the expense paid by me) and I always travel alone, so I'd say I have a quite independent soul.

I'm unjabbed, just in case it's a problem for you.

PHILOSOPHY

Be free, apart from being myself.

"Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless in facing them.
Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain but for the heart to conquer it.
Let me not look for allies in life's battlefield but to my own strength.
Let me not crave in anxious fear to be saved but hope for the patience to win my freedom.
Grant me that I may not be a coward, feeling your mercy in my success alone; but let me find the grasp of your hand in my failure."
Quoted from "Fruit-Gathering" by Rabindranath Tagore

Interests

Anything which makes the world and the universe. I think if you are interested in one thing and truly want to know about it, you have to know about everything, learn anything as everything is inter-linked. So, I am interested in biology, sociology, Physics, chemistry, politics, economy, history, oriental philosophy(especially taoism),music, arts, culture, learning languages, just name a few. I just try to see a bigger picture, beyond one subject, because, I think, everthing in the end goes to the same place.

Movies: Many. City of God, Central Station, Chungking express, Hotel Rwanda. Just name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked as a barista for Starbucks Coffee in London, then worked in a coffee plantation in Guatemala as a volunteer. So I have seen 2 extreme sides of the global trade, how unfair the global market, which all of us living in developed nations are benefited, really is.

I traveled from London till Poland in 2008, then from Poland till Greece in 2012, then around Taiwan and South-east Asia in 20015-16, by bicycle. I hope to continue the rest through the whole continent, one day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I have found that the world is way too much westernised, I'm trying to EASTERNISE the world a bit to make it better balanced. I will tell you a lot of oriental wisdom.

I can also teach you how to make Japanese food, provided there are enough ingredients.
