About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a place to stay, in order to meet new people and have a good time! I hope I learn a lot!

ABOUT ME

I'm a mechanical engineering student and brand new at the whole globe-trotting thing. If anybody can lend me a hand, I'd really appreciate it.

PHILOSOPHY

Have an open mind and be kind to others. People are people, no matter what they look like or what they do. We're all trying to navigate this life together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new folks!

Interests

Oh, what to put here? I like lots of things, but specifically I'm into scientific topics, politics (sometimes a bad idea), literature, and creative writing. I'm trying to write a novel--have been since the end of high school, actually. We'll see if that goes anywhere.

In the summer of 2012, I was in Prague, CZ, Vienna, AT, and a couple of cities in Poland, including Warsaw.

I minored in Japanese, which is good, because I visited Hokkaido, Japan in 2013! I also work at a Japanese company and converse with my coworkers daily.

Music, Movies, and Books

Star Trek
Star Wars

Everything ever written by Charles Dickens and Shakespeare (I went to a classical high school, it was required)

Ecce Romani (if anyone gets this reference, you are a brave human being and deserve a medal)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mission: Space at Epcot, Disney World in Orlando, Fl.

If real zero-gravity is even half what the ride simulates, it's the most amazing thing ever. It's one of the reasons I signed up for the Mars One mission.

Also, I can apparently survive upwards of 2.5 g like a boss. Ready for more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently trying to improve my Japanese. I'm happy to help anyone who wants to learn some English, too.

I can also teach you how to use PTC Creo, SolidWorks, and most Microsoft Office products. But who really wants to know that when we could be out there, exploring the world?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Japan, Poland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, United States
