ABOUT ME
Hi. I'm Tae-yun. I am from a small country, S.Korea, which is like an island because of the separation with the North. I grew up in a small town, where people are connected like a spider web. After graduating from high school, I moved to a small town for college, to a small college society. My living environment has been small and giving me little challenges. But I always have been dreaming big. That's why I like traveling and meeting people. I am a person who dreams big and is willing to face challenges.
PHILOSOPHY
Once, there was a time when I had likes and dislikes, the rights and wrongs. But now things are a little bit vague to me. So for now, I can't tell you what my philosophy is, but I am trying to make my own philosophy by reading, meeting people, and most of all, by my own experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I always wanted to see a lot and visit many places. But after several travels, I soon realized that just visiting and seeing famous places mean nothing. Then it came to my mind that I should meet people and it should be the priority on top during travel. That's the reason I came here :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since the summer of 2012
-Surfed in Swiss
-Hosted in Iksan, S.Korea
When I first tried couchsurfing in Swiss, (now I am looking back) I really didn't have any idea. I wasn't verified and had no references. But I was given a big favor by good people, my hosts in Swiss :)

Beautiful nature and hiking there. Learning about the world. Learning from others and improving myself. Traveling around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mountains, rocks, trees and land... National parks in USA. I've never seen anything magnificent like these while living in my country.
Beautiful mountains in Swiss.
I went hiking, 8 out of 16 days staying in Swiss. Each hiking took more than 6 hours, somewhat crazy... but those mountains were so beautiful that I couldn't help but to go up there. As you can guess, I lost quite some weight and built up some muscles after those hikings, which turned out to be nothing when I came back to a normal life of a college student :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Korean language, which said to be very scientific language, which turned out to be true, because my first couchguest could read Korean signs on the street only after staying one week in Korea.
Or maybe he's talented :)
