About Me

Hi! I’m Taisei from Japan. I’m traveling the Netherlands on a journey of prayer and connection — visiting sacred sites, meeting open-hearted people, and exploring with curiosity and presence.
I value deep conversation, nature, kindness, and quiet moments. I enjoy photography, tea, poetry, and learning from different ways of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A mix of ambient, folk, and traditional sounds from many cultures.
Movies: I love poetic, quiet films like Paterson, Into the Wild, or Spirited Away.
Books: I read essays and spiritual writings — Rilke, Alan Watts, or something picked from a secondhand shop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending the time at the temple (Kamakura) in a Buddhist temple, joining morning chants and walking alone in the fog through ancient cedar forests. It changed the way I listen to the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share insights about Japanese culture, language, and spiritual practices like calligraphy or small rituals of daily life.
I’m always eager to learn about your way of life, traditions, and what inspires you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A listening ear, a calm presence, and good conversation. I can cook a simple Japanese meal, help with language, or bring you a small handmade gift from Japan :)
I’m clean, respectful, and usually carry a good supply of tea!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Japan, Laos, Netherlands Antilles, Philippines, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
