ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year-old computer programmer from Israel. I live with my boyfriend, Gilad (this is basically our shared account). He's doing his masters in Electrical Engineering.
We may both work in the land of computers and engineering, but we're both creative, artistic, and we try to be the best versions of ourselves that we can possibly be.

PHILOSOPHY

Give as much love and care as you can to the rest of the world. Making even one person smile for a while can create the biggest positive change in the world.
And pie. I believe that pie can also change the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some great experience with couch surfing - surfed a bit in NYC when I was there, had some wonderful experiences, and met a few surfers here in Israel on several occasions. I think this program is incredible and so crucial in our global society.

Interests

I love photography, I like to draw and love to cook, I've always been a big film buff and I know practically every pop song by heart (can sing them pretty well too). I've dabbled in sowing and knitting, and enjoy pretty much any form of craft.
Gilad loves computer games. He always said that he could spend all eternity with just a copy of "Civilization", and no interruptions from the outside world. Gilad also loves skiing (though there isn't much of that going on here...), and he is highly spiritually connected. His spirituality is the driving force in his life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to begin... I adore movies, I could watch one probably any day at any time. My all-time favorite is Fight Club, followed by Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Magnolia, Snatch, and many many more... I could talk about movies for hours. And the same goes with TV shows. I probably clocked in more TV hours than anyone I know, combined. Chances are - if you like a TV show, I've seen it.
This obviously leaves no time for books....
As far as music goes, I go insane without listening to music. I need a constant soundtrack in my life. The Beatles are my all-time favorite band, but my taste varies greatly, from Zeppelin to Sinatra to Britney to the Offspring... And I LOVE musicals. I was born to live in one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the past fall, the southern part of our country was under missile attacks daily, and people were forced sometimes to leave their homes for some quiet and security. Along with a few other people, I helped create a sort of database of people who live in other parts of the country and were willing to host whole families in their homes. The spirit of giving, and people sharing their homes and their love with complete strangers, was staggering. I was so glad to be a part of that amazing initiative.
Gilad was, in his military service, an officer in charge of shaping some of the future officers in our army (cudettes). He has always viewed that experience as extremely significant, and humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach someone how to sow or knit, how to cook (but pretty basic stuff :) ), how to edit a movie, how to meditate.
Gilad would love to take you on trips, take you hiking, or take you out for a beer.
We've always wanted to learn how to play instruments - Gilad tried his hand when he was younger but gave it up at some point... I stuck to my singing because I was rubbish at anything else. We've also always wanted to dance properly, so if anyone knows a particular style that could be amazing.
but in general, we are both always excited to learn new things, and meet new people. The world is so rich with things to offer... We'd like to take it up on it ;)
