Hi! My name is Talia. I’m an artist that works primarily in graphite/charcoal and digital design, although currently teaching myself color theory so I can get better at painting and graphic design. In college, I studied pre-med and creative writing/literature. I worked as a medical assistant for a couple years before deciding to dedicate my focus to my passion of art. I’m starting a freelance business for content and graphic design and until that takes off I’m working as a bartender/server at a country club.

When I’m not at work or working on my art I love to do crosswords, go out dancing, puzzles, go to concerts, read or write, play backgammon and cards (or any game really), listen to music or play it, talk to people, go hiking, see friends and learn something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve found that this is an incredible way to meet amazing people and learn from others in a sort of cultural and livelihood exchange.

I love movies of all sorts but find myself primarily watching documentaries, horror/thriller, indie, and comedy. My music taste varies quite a bit so I’ll probably like whatever you put on and will most likely add it to one of my playlists.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always travel with some art supplies so I’d love to do an art night with my host if they’re interested. I find making art with or alongside others is a great time of peace, reflection and connection. I’m also pretty good at cooking a few dishes so maybe I can make us dinner one night or we can cook together. I also have my little backgammon set with me if anyone would want to play.
