HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before becoming a member of couchsurfing i have hosted many travellers in my home in Winnipeg, and have also been hosted while on the road. It only makes sense to join this wonderful organization.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My most recent courch surfing experience occured in quite an organic way: While travelling through El Salvador my husband and I connected with a wonderful artist who invited us to sleep in the spare room of her house. We met her whole family; we even had lunch at her Grandmother´s house, and met most of her extended family. This was certainly one of the most special highlights of our trip!

Some of my favourite musical artists are Joanna Newsom, Japanese Breakfast, Guided by Voices, Bill Callahan, The Smiths, Patti Smith, Lou Reed, Devo, Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Neu!,Sonic Youth, The Ventures, XTC, Lene Lovich, Kate Bush, Townes Van Zandt, Smog, Syd Barret, Bjork, Thelonious Monk, Nina Simone, ... I love all music!

Creating art, songwriting and listening to music, eating new types of food, having good conversations, studying herbalism, discovering cinema from around the world, reading good literature and poetry...

I love all the Wes Anderson films, Delicatessen, Amelie, Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Jan Svankmajer Stop Motion films, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Twin Peaks, Annie Hall, Manhattan, The Science of Sleep, Edward Scissorhands, Do the Right Thing, Jungle Fever.... etc.
